The cost answers

No survey of Irish SEO pricing exists that this network can cite, so it publishes no market rate. The one figure with a source is the publisher's own: SEO Agency Dublin states its packages start from €700 a month with no long-term contracts. Treat any published range without a source as a guess dressed as data.

The same answer applies, and the same absence of a source. Local SEO is a subset of the work rather than a separate product, so it is priced by scope: profile work alone is a fraction of profile plus listings plus website plus content.

Consultants charge in four shapes: a day rate, a fixed price for defined work, a monthly retainer for a block of time, or a project fee. The shape matters more than the number, because it decides what the consultant is paid to do. No Dublin rate is published here for want of a source.

Four things. The scope of work included. The number of locations, because each real premises is another profile and another set of listings. The competition in your trade, which varies enormously. And how much has to be built, since a business with a working site and a claimed profile starts from a different place than one with neither.

Usually because they cover different work rather than because one supplier is dearer. Write out what each includes under profile, listings, website and measurement, and most pairs of quotes that looked far apart turn out to be quoting for different jobs.

It depends entirely on what is in it. A low price for profile maintenance done properly is good value; the same price for bulk directory submissions is money spent making your listings less consistent. Ask what is included before comparing numbers.

A project suits definable work such as an audit, a migration or a profile rebuild, and puts the overrun risk on the supplier. A monthly fee suits genuinely ongoing work. A monthly fee with no ongoing work is a subscription to nothing, and either side can say so.

There is no correct answer, and there is a correct behaviour: whatever the term is, it should be stated before you ask and written in the contract in the same words. Check what happens to the work if you leave before signing, not after.
